The VOX 847 is one of the most known Wah Wah pedals in the world and it is as well known for its great sound as for its lack of true bypass, DC external input and status LED. At BRICKTONE we can make this modifications for you so that you can take all the potential out of you wah unit.
Apart from these mods we will add a potentiometer that will allow you to change the "vocalness" of your Wah, with an indication of the position for the stock sound and giving you the chance to find your own sound through an almost ilimited amount of positions.
Modifications:
- Change of all resistors to metallic film ones, achieving less noise and better tolerance.
- True Bypass Conversion.
- Status ultra bright blue Led installation.
- Dc external input installation (PSA boss style).
- Potentiometer installation to control de vocality of the Wah.
We are offering now the possibility to install one of the famous FASEL inductors. The FASEL inductor was used in many of the great wah's of the 60's and 70's including Vox. Most of the classic Italian wah's had these also. Get your Red FASEL for a vintage sound and your Yellow FASEL for a clean, modern, funky sound.
Don’t think anymore, change a good pedal to a stunning one for much less than what it would cost you a reissue, with all the quality drawbacks those have, not to talk about the "originals" that go for hundreds of dollars.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are very sorry, but VOX has decided not to build the V847 in USA anymore, and now they build it in China. The new one is known as V847A, and it comes with DC external input, but still lacks a true bypass and a status led. The printed circuit board has SMD components, which we can´t handle without the help of a robot arm, so this are the two things we can do for you if you have a new version, convert it to True Bypass and Adding a Led. Look in your local dealer if they have an old one, but you can find them easily in the second hand market.
